About me

Resume
Background

Hello! My name is Steven Foster and I am a PhD student in the Industrial Engineering Department at Clemson University. I am originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida and graduated in 2020 with my B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Florida State University.

During my 4 years at Florida State, I was a member of the World Renowned Florida State University Marching Chiefs and traveled around the world representing FSU. During the summer of 2019, I traveled with the Marching Chiefs to Paris, France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy on behalf of the United States of America. Band has always played a significant role in my life and I am very thankful for the lifelong friendships I made inside and outside of the classroom at FSU.

At Florida State I also became a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Fraternity for College Band Members, where I had the opportunity to serve the bands of FSU and coordinate large scale projects.

My personal motto is "No matter the job, big or small, do it right or not at all" and ultimately, I strive to help others achieve their goals and find their own version of success. The idea of improving the lives of others through mathematical reasoning and engineering design principles drives my academic pursuit of industrial engineering.
